Lithuanian College of Democracy participated in the project „GREEN: Global reactions for Environmental Education“

In June 22-29, 2016 Lithuanian College of Democracy participated in the project „GREEN: Global reactions for Environmental Education“, Portugal, Viseu city, which was carried out under the European Union’s Erasmus+ program. Lithuanian College of Democracy was invited to participate in this project as a partner.

During the project it was discussed sustainability, environmental, social issues, promotion of activities of the organisations.

Sustainability and related topics, as it has been noticed during the project, is a complex theme, because it can be associated with other global issues such as health, education quality, gender equality, protection of water resources, renewable energy sources, new job creation and economic growth, innovations and infrastructure development through reduction of inequality, poverty reduction, sustainable cities and community development, responsible consumption, climate change, international peace.

The project consisted of the sessions of interactive activities were it was a possibility to share the best practices of different countries, improve project participants skills to solve sustainability and environmental problems, to promote cooperation.

Project organizers: Juventude em Ação (Portugal) and the Federação das Associações Juvenia do Distrito de Viseu (Portugal).

Project partners: organisations of the European Union countries – Lithuania, Greece, Bulgaria, Slovakia.
