LDUK seeks to strengthen the principles of democracy in Europe

The scientific association, the Lithuanian College of Democracy (LDUK), participated in the General Assembly of the “Europe’s Peoples’ Forum.” (EPF), where it received significant recognition. During the event, a new strategy was introduced, aiming to enhance member participation and reinforce democratic principles. This event was organized by the partners of the Youth4Change project.

A key moment of the meeting was the unveiling of the new EPF strategy. This strategy concentrates on actively involving members and bolstering democracy, marking a substantial step forward. It reflects the shared aspiration of EPF members to cultivate a robust and open European civil society.

At the event, Egle Celiesiene, the director of LDUK, was elected to the EPF board for a two-year term. This election is not just a personal accolade for E. Celiesiene but also a significant contribution of LDUK to the fortification of European civil society. Her appointment to the board underscores the vital role of Lithuanian organizations in the European context and their capability to actively participate in crucial decision-making processes.
